Pet Import
First and foremost, a warm WELCOME to Singapore! We hope you’re as excited about your move as we are about meeting you and your pet(s)! Yes, “warm” in every literal sense. Singapore has a tropical climate with a minimum average temperature of 25 degree Celsius to 34 degree Celsius almost all-year round.

With that in mind, we recommend that you book the Air-conditioned Kennel/Cattery to ensure comfort, should your furkids require quarantine upon entry into Singapore.

If the Country you are embarking from is not listed above, either a 10-day or 30-day quarantine is mandatory upon entry into Singapore.

Pet Transhipment
Our Pet Transshipment Package includes the handling and arranging of all necessary pet transshipment documents from the exporting and importing countries.

If your furkid requires a longer transit-time at the airport, we can check on its well-being and take him/her out for a short walk (your pet will thank you for that!) during his or her transit at the Changi Animal and Plant Quarantine (CAPQ). This will ensure that your pet is comfortable for the next leg of his/her journey.

Our Services

1) How long is the quarantine period?
The quarantine period for dogs/cats varies depending on the country of export. Pets arriving from certain countries may need to be quarantined between 10 or 30 days.

Small mammals are required to undergo 14 days quarantine unless owner is able to show proof of ownership (at least the past 6 months or since birth) prior to export.

2) Can I visit my pet during the quarantine period?
Yes, visiting is allowed during the designated visiting hours -

Mon to Fri: 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Saturday: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
The quarantine station is closed on Sundays and public holidays.

3) My cat/dog is very old and has old-age and has medical problems which require constant attention. Can it be exempted from quarantine?
All quarantine periods set by the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority(AVA) is mandatory and cannot be exempted. However, alternative options can sometimes be arranged depending on the severity of your pet’s condition.

4) How should I prepare my pet for export?
▪ Take your pet’s basic measurements - height, length, and width so that a proper-size crate can be chosen for a comfortable travel.

▪  Provide your pet with its favourite toy and bedding for travel. An old t-shirt or a clothing item with a scent “familiar” to him/her will work to sooth their nerves too.

▪  Animals may suffer from airsickness. For this reason you should stop feeding your pet at least 4-5 hours prior to departure.

5) How early in advance should we start preparing for our pet’s relocation?
We recommend starting the relocation preparation as soon as you know you need to travel. Some countries can take up to 6 months prior preparation for pets to gain entry into the country.

6) Is sedation recommended?
We strongly advise against any form of sedation as it may cause the pet unnecessary psychological distress and many airlines will not accept the pet if it has been treated so.

If you must do so, kindly consult your vet for better advice.

7) Can I meet my pet relocation specialist?
We thought you'd never ask! Write in to us ([email protected]) or call us (+65 9655 4995) to schedule an appointment.
